The printhead flips up, providing easy access to a straight paper path for quick and easy loading, cleaning and clearing label jams. Labels are printed crisply and cleanly, because the 9800™ Series Printers are designed to help prevent "ribbon wrinkle" and smudging. The ribbon core has an interlocking design that provides maximum ribbon stability, center justifies supplies and is motor-controlled, not clutch-controlled. The printer connects to a PC via the standard RS-232 serial port. Certain models support a Centronics® mode parallel adapter cable.
